Why traditional mindset work often falls short—and what actually works instead

Have you ever felt like you’ve done all the right things when it comes to healing or self-development, and yet… something still doesn’t shift?

Maybe you’ve journaled, repeated affirmations, read the books, and even made positive changes—but deep down, the old fear, anxiety, or pattern keeps showing up.

That’s not your fault.

The truth is, trauma doesn’t live in your thoughts.
It lives in your subconscious—and often, in your body.

This is why mindset work alone can feel like trying to repaint a wall while the foundations underneath are cracked.

As a therapist with over 15 years of experience, one of the most powerful tools I use to get to those deeper layers is RTT®—Rapid Transformational Therapy.

What is RTT—and where did it come from?

RTT® was developed by world-renowned therapist Marisa Peer, who has over three decades of experience working with Olympic athletes, CEOs, royalty, and everyday people alike. She saw that many therapeutic approaches were either too surface-level or too drawn out—and set out to create something that delivered fast, lasting change.

Combining the most effective elements of hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, NLP (Neuro-Linguistic Programming), and cognitive behavioural techniques, RTT is designed to uncover and rewire the root cause of emotional and behavioural issues—not just the symptoms.

It’s a powerful process that helps people move past anxiety, fears, trauma, low self-worth, and even physical conditions that have been stuck for years.

How I use RTT in my practice

While RTT is known and respected worldwide, what makes it especially powerful in my practice is how I combine it with advanced hypnotherapy and a trauma-informed approach. I work with clients both locally and online who often feel stuck in repeating patterns—whether that’s around relationships, money, confidence, or emotional overwhelm.

In many cases, the surface issue (like procrastination or people-pleasing) is just the tip of the iceberg. Underneath, there’s usually a moment in time when your mind decided: “It’s safer not to be seen,” or “It’s dangerous to succeed,” or “I’m not enough.”

RTT allows us to gently access those moments, understand them, and then reframe the beliefs you absorbed.
You don’t just change behaviour—you shift the identity underneath it.

Many clients experience powerful breakthroughs after just one session.

It’s not about ‘fixing’ you—it’s about releasing what was never yours to carry

If you’ve tried other approaches and still feel like something’s holding you back, RTT might be the missing piece.

You don’t have to stay stuck in survival mode.

You can feel safe, free, and empowered again.

If you’re curious or would like to explore how RTT might help you personally, feel free to get in touch for a free consultation. I work locally and online, and sessions are always tailored to the individual—because no two healing journeys are the same.
